Oncotype DX® may help guide treatment decisions for patients with DCIS or early-stage ER+ breast cancer. However, the decision to use the Oncotype DX test as part of your breast cancer treatment plan is one that you and your doctor should discuss and make together.

If you and your doctor agree that the test is right for you, your next step is to find out if the test is covered by your insurance. Your doctor can help with this by working with Genomic Health's Genomic Access Program (GAP), which can investigate your insurance benefits and provide other services. Or you can contact your insurance company directly.
